Welcome to the Hot Summer Heroes Blog Hop!
What makes a hero? Bravery? A desire to do the right thing? The ability to pick up one’s life when it crumbles and find a way to not only keep going, but to eventually come out on top again?
My biggest “cover hero” has got to be Ethan from Safeword: Matte. I mean, just look at him! At six foot five inches tall, and weighing in at two hundred and seventy one pounds, he’s bigger than life in so many ways. He looks scary, but he’s a nice guy. Even if he is a sadist 😉
And who do we choose as hero from the two Davenport books? I think in some ways it may be Brent, who isn’t a romantic interest for Dana at all, but a very good friend. All three of the men in these two books probably qualify for hero status in some way or other, though.
Now, onto the free stuff: I’ll be giving away a copy of your choice of Safeword: Matte, Safeword: Davenport, or Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon on Sunday evening, August 19th.
There are three ways to enter. Do all three and you’ll be entered three times, or do one and you’re entered once:
- Follow me on Facebook and let me know about it (email, comment, or FB message)
- Follow me on Twitter and let me know about it (email, comment, or Twitter me)
- Comment below.
If you’re already following me on Facebook or Twitter let me know who you are, and I’ll count it.
First, a warning, though. These are not “beginner” BDSM books. Everything is consensual, but it’s real pain, and — in the two Davenport books — as close as one can get to total surrender while sustaining a career. If you just want a little slap and tickle, these may be a bit much for you.
Here’s the blurb for Safeword: Matte
Matte, pronounced mah-tay, is the word used in some forms of martial arts to stop a fight. It’s the Japanese word for stop or wait. Sam (short for Samantha) has made a hobby out of learning the various fighting disciplines, but she also happens to be a sexual submissive. What better safeword than matte?
Sam wants to find someone to submit to who she can’t beat in a fight. She’s tried to make it work with men from the scene who know nothing about fighting, but it doesn’t feel real to her – she needs someone who can truly control her. However, after dating from the fight scene and discovering not all guys like to spank their girlfriends, she’s decided to just back away from the whole dating thing for a while… until Fate decides to step in.
Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, bondage, and use of toys including crops, clamps, canes, and floggers.
Here’s the blurb for Safeword: Davenport
Dana has never submitted to anyone but her husband — he trained her, taught her to submit. He’s been dead a year and a half though, and she’s beginning to consider the possibility of dating again. She sticks to vanilla at first, but quickly realizes she’s going to need more. As she’s considering the idea of finding someone who would enjoy hurting her without requiring her submission, her life is complicated by a Dom who pushes all of her buttons.
Safeword: Davenport is the first half of Dana’s story, it’s the personal part of her journey, and has a Happy for Now ending. Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon is scheduled for release August 3, 2012, and will give the rest of her story.
Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, bondage, intense sensory deprivation, extreme electrical play, enemas, and the use of toys including clamps, canes, plugs, cages, paddles, whips, and floggers.
Here’s the blurb for Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon
Dana is ready to submit to Zach, but she’s going to be surprised by the depth of her submission. She’s comfortable Dominating Jacob, but how will the four of them form a unit?
Zach thought he’d worked through his issues, and he was patient with Dana as she worked through hers, but a painful reminder of the past makes him question whether he can accept Dana’s submission. Will he be able to handle being completely vulnerable once again?
Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, bondage, extreme electrical play, enemas, and the use of toys including clamps, canes, plugs, cages, paddles, whips, and floggers.

“Slap and Tickle” … lol! I’m not squeamish, and I do love BDSM stories. As long as the Dom is monogamous once he finds his forever sub 🙂 I don’t mind the a rough journey, but I do love my HEAs. Thank you for the giveaway!

I don’t have a facebook or twitter page so I’m just going to leave a comment. I haven’t read any of the Safewords books, but I’m looking forward to starting them.
A hero has to be strong, confident, a little bit of a bad boy, honest, loyal and have a little sense of humor. He also should be tormented in some way. Plus my hero will fight for what he believes in.
