Safeword: Arabesque – Available Now!

Cassie’s introduction to kink throws her for a loop until a friend and his slave give her a gentle introduction. Unfortunately, her friend has issues when it comes to kinky activities with women, so Cassie goes looking for someone else to teach her. She knows how to be safe, but a disastrous adventure ends with an ambulance ride to the emergency room, and the three men it hasn’t worked out with all come together to nurse her back to health. Two Doms and two submissives in one house should be a nightmare waiting to happen, though under the right circumstances could be a dream come true. Warning: Contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, male/male sexual practices, bondage, male chastity devices, and the use of toys including clamps, canes, paddles, floggers, plugs, and gags. Readers with a history of rape may find elements of this story disturbing. Safeword: Arabesque is a stand-alone book. You do not need to have read the previous books in the series. Cover Reveal!! No Safeword: Matte — Happily Ever After

Release is planned for late September or early October, and this one is a super-novel. HEA currently stands at 120,000 words, and the next editing pass generally adds more words. I may have written the first Matte specifically to show you can write a romance without a ton of drama and angst, but the final Ethan and Sam book has enough drama and angst to fill all four books. I *love* this cover, in part because I got to use the same model from Safeword: Matte, and in part because of the irony of showing them at a fight practice when the title is Happily Ever After. Also, we return to the roots of the first book, and there is a lot of fighting in this one — both in the cage with a large audience, and in private.

Ten Random Things about Me

In Honor of the Authors After Dark‘s kick-off this Wednesday, here are some random facts about me: I used to juggle professionally. I’ve been married to my soulmate for sixteen years. I’m allergic to latex and have a hard time with pvc, so we have a lot of glass and stainless toys. I tend to be a little shy until I get to know someone, but I worked hard to get beyond it and talk to strangers at The Novel Experience and had a blast. I’m looking forward to doing it again. Once I get beyond my initial shyness, it’s hard to shut me up. Upon reading my t-shirt, a gentleman at TNEE said, “My wife’s safeword has turned into Jim-if-you-do-that-again-I’m-going-to-kill-you.” Yes, that’s my bed in the background. Yes, it’s been retrofitted with kinky accoutrements. The picture was taken in my bedroom because I needed to go somewhere I could lock the door to set the banner up, because my kids are way too young to be asking me what a safeword is. I am incapable of writing a short story. They all turn into novels. Sometimes supernovels. This was supposed to be five random facts. I have a hard time keeping the word count down on blog posts too, apparently. I’ll be wearing my “What’s your Safeword” t-shirt, and I love meeting readers and authors. Please come say hi to me if you see me. And, if I look lost, maybe help me figure out where I should be?   I have a feeling everything will be fine once I arrive, but I’m a little overwhelmed as I pack and try to make plans. I have a game in the Carnival (Friday night from 5:00 to 7:00), and would love to have you stop by and play. We won’t be playing pin the tail on […]

Safeword: Matte – The Honeymoon Excerpt

Releases this Friday!! Here’s an excerpt, just before “The Big Event”. Sam couldn’t believe how nervous she was as she stepped out of the tub. Once upon a time she’d have kept it to herself, but she knew Ethan would want to know, and she didn’t mind letting him see her weaknesses. “Ethan, I know you’ve prepared me for this, but I’m a little scared.” He pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her. His deep voice vibrated through his chest and into her cheek as he said, “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t turned on by your fear, but I want you to enjoy this, too.” He leaned back and looked into her face, scrutinizing. “Do you want a glass of wine before we get started?” “Maybe a half glass? I’m not sure a lot of wine would be wise after the enema.” He smiled. “We’ll split a glass between us, then.” He dried her, then himself, and they walked to the kitchen together. He’d put a bottle of wine in the fridge earlier, and he pulled the cork as they talked about the house, the weather, and how beautiful the ocean view was through the window. He walked her outside, and when the salt air and ocean breeze hit bare skin, Sam made a note to request sex outside at some point. Ethan stood behind her and she leaned into him as they passed the wine glass back and forth, both taking sips as they breathed in the clean, refreshing air, and soaked in the sun’s fading rays on their naked bodies. The view was stunning, and as Sam’s eyes adjusted she could see other islands in the distance, and wondered if it’d be possible to kayak out to them. She drained the last […]

BDSM Blog Hop Part 2 — Fun after the Negotiations

Welcome back to the BDSM Blog hop! Yesterday I talked a little about negotiations, today I’ll provide an excerpt showing the fun you can have once the negotiations are over. ======================= “We’ll do your strength exercises in two parts this weekend.” His hand moved towards her pussy and he crammed two fingers into her with no soft caresses or warning. “Nice and wet.” His deep voice caressed her skin as the basso profundo vibrations drifted towards and around her. He removed his fingers without ceremony, picked up a handful of marbles, and methodically began poking them into her. Sam’s pussy spasmed as the glass orbs were quickly pressed into her, and she tried to hold her entrance closed to keep them from falling out as more and more were packed inside. Her rectal muscles began to spasm around the giant plug as she tensed her ass along with her pussy muscles, and she soon discovered it was nearly impossible to relax around the plug and still hold the marbles in. Ethan started the time on his cellphone, counting up, and turned it away from her. He set another chair in front of her and settled onto it before casually opening the bag and extracting a clothespin. “I’m in a mood tonight, Samantha. I want you to hurt for me. No words, but feel free to scream and cry.” He took his time placing each clothespin, building tension and anticipation until Sam was sure her adrenaline alone could light a stadium. The strain of holding the marbles in and fighting the large plug in her ass, along with being in the splits and her arms bound completely motionless — all of this in concert with the clothespins placed at random on her breasts and the underside of her upper arm had […]

Negotiations and BDSM — Consensual Nonconsent

Welcome to the BDSM Blog hop! Today I’d like to talk just a little about one of my favorite kinks — negotiation. Unfortunately, after being with my husband for close to two decades, and married for sixteen years, we no longer have a lot to negotiate. When we role play and map out the scene, there are still sorta-kinda semi-negotiations, but I get most of my kicks from letting my characters negotiate these days. Here’s a tiny excerpt from Safeword: Matte — In Training. If you haven’t read either Matte book (pronounced mah-tay, as it isn’t English), you should know Ethan is extremely well endowed, and wants to work his new fiancée up so she can take him in her backside on their honeymoon. This is a small peak into the contract negotiations. =============== “Thanks for giving me some space. I’m ready to talk now, I think.” Sam’s heart fluttered as Ethan’s gaze rose and a smile lit his face. He nodded to the coffee table. “I printed off the agreement, if you want to read through it and make notes.” He gestured to his laptop and added, “If I can have another ten minutes here I can finish what I’m working on, and then I’m all yours.” They were both wearing jeans and tees, and anyone looking in on them wouldn’t have thought anything odd about a couple hanging out together on a Saturday, unless they read over her shoulder. Sam used the pen Ethan had thoughtfully placed with the contract to make her own notes, and when she made it to the end she looked up to see Ethan watching her, his laptop open on the table between them. “You didn’t write this.” He smiled. “I wrote a version of it, and asked an attorney friend in the […]
