Another glowing review for Safeword: Davenport

Kitty at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews had such nice things to say about Safeword: Davenport. Here’s a little of what she had to say: …this book is not for the weak-minded or faint at heart. If you don’t know what a Total Power Exchange is – you will know by the end of Safeword: Davenport. I absolutely loved this book, the power Dana had and the power she handed to Zach was unbelievable. To know that you are absolutely loved and adored, no matter what, is a total high. There were strong, dominant scenes and there were sweet, loving scenes. This book covered it all and showed me a side to BDSM that I had no idea about. Thank you for enlightening me, Ms. Blevins. Safeword: Davenport received five of five stars and the Purest Delight award. First review for Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon

The first review is up on Goodreads and it’s a 5 of 5. Well, not a review exactly, but a rating and a note that the review will come, and the second part of the story is “awesome”. I like that word. While I’m talking about Goodreads, after 15 ratings and 8 reviews, the Goodreads average for Safeword: Davenport is 4.33. I am also thrilled to be on the number two spot at Bookstrand in the Multiple Partners category, and number ten at Smashwords. I have two contests going right now for a chance to win your choice of Safeword: Davenport or Safeword: Matte. Just scroll down the main page for the two blog hop posts.

Release Day! Safeword: Davenport

The early reviews are almost all fives, with one exception of a 4.5 — and Safeword: Davenport is finally up for sale at most of the booksellers (and will be up on the rest before too much longer). Dana has never submitted to anyone but her husband — he trained her, taught her to submit. He’s been dead a year and a half though, and she’s beginning to consider the possibility of dating again. She sticks to vanilla at first, but quickly realizes she’s going to need more. As she’s considering the idea of finding someone who would enjoy hurting her without requiring her submission, her life is complicated by a Dom who pushes all of her buttons. Safeword: Davenport is the first half of Dana’s story, it’s the personal part of her journey, and has a Happy for Now ending. Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon is scheduled for release August 3, 2012, and will give the rest of her story. Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, bondage, intense sensory deprivation, extreme electrical play, enemas, and the use of toys including clamps, canes, plugs, cages, paddles, whips, and floggers. ————————————————————- Buy it at: ————————————————————- Reviews: La Crimson Femme gave it a 5 of 5 and said: This is my FAVOURITE book by Ms. Blevins. In this lovely story, we are once again treated to some intense and arousing SM. No one does SM in a M/f relationship as good for me as Ms. Blevins. AlexJouJou at Manic Readers gave it a 4.5 out of 5 and said: Candace Blevins writes amazing BDSM stories that ring authentic and true. These are not your everyday hot submissive meets “Club Owning” Dom novels (though those are good). These are vibrant, realistic, multilayered, and multihued with characters who come alive for you and […]

Early reviews — 5 of 5!!!

The first review and rating are in from the ARC’s sent out for Safeword: Davenport, and both are a 5 of 5. I am seriously happy about that. I’m way too close to this story, and seeing that others like it is a relief I didn’t realize I’d feel. I wrote the first thirty or forty thousand words when my husband was in the hospital last year and we weren’t sure he was going to make it. I sat beside him in the hospital and typed as I listened to the machines that were keeping him alive. He pulled through, and as soon as the doctors started talking about the future I set the book aside for more than a year before I went back to it. Finishing it has been hard, much more difficult than I anticipated when I returned to it; but he’s back to 100% now, and it was time to finish it. The story got away from me and had to be split into two books:  Safeword: Davenport will be released July 6th, and Safewords: Davenport and Chiffon will be released August 3rd.

Welcome to Hot Summer Nights Bloghop

Welcome blog hoppers! I’ll be giving away a copy of Safeword: Matte on Sunday evening, June 24th. There are three ways to enter. Do all three and you’ll be entered three times: Follow me on Facebook and let me know about it (email, comment, or FB message) Follow me on Twitter and let me know about it (email, comment, or Twitter me) Comment below. If you’re already following me on Facebook or Twitter let me know who you are, and I’ll count it. Here’s the blurb: Matte, pronounced mah-tay, is the word used in some forms of martial arts to stop a fight. It’s the Japanese word for stop or wait. Sam (short for Samantha) has made a hobby out of learning the various fighting disciplines, but she also happens to be a sexual submissive. What better safeword than matte? Sam wants to find someone to submit to who she can’t beat in a fight. She’s tried to make it work with men from the scene who know nothing about fighting, but it doesn’t feel real to her – she needs someone who can truly control her. However, after dating from the fight scene and discovering not all guys like to spank their girlfriends, she’s decided to just back away from the whole dating thing for a while… until Fate decides to step in. Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, bondage, and use of toys including crops, clamps, canes, and floggers.   ————————————————————- Make sure you leave a way for me to contact you.
