Release Day — Shades of Surrender: Fifty by Fifty boxed set

Available now — thirteen stories from as many authors, .99 for a limited time! While Ethan may not be a billionaire in the first Safeword: Matte, he’s well on his way by the time we get to the end of his story with Sam.   Buy it at: If you’re here because you enjoyed Safeword: Matte, welcome! The next books you’ll probably want to read are: Safeword: Matte – In Training No Safeword: Matte – The Honeymoon No Safeword: Matte – Happily Ever After Safeword: Arabesque From there, the other Safeword books give you plenty of negotiated, consensual, intense BDSM. Or, if you prefer something gentler, my urban fantasy series gives a side of BDSM lite with a plethora of sexy Alpha males. The paranormal romance series and motorcycle club series are more about kink than BDSM, though sometimes things get intense when doling out consequences to the bad guys. Feel free to look around the site, and either email me or message me on facebook if you have any questions!

Cover Reveal — The Dragon King

Book one of The Chattanooga Supernaturals, paranormal romance with claws… Aaron Drake is nine thousand years old and one of the last remaining European were-dragons. Release Day for Only Human!

I’ve branched off into Urban Fantasy with a side of BDSM. This isn’t the extreme BDSM of my Safeword series, so if you’ve been afraid to dive into those books, this one should work better for you. Assuming you enjoy kink. And, if you’ve read the Safeword series and want to know more about Kirsten? This is her story. It’s live at Amazon and Barnes & Noble this morning, it should be available everywhere else sometime today. ________________________ Book one of the Only Human urban fantasy series… Someone is abducting women and killing men in a way to get Kirsten O’Shea’s attention. Luckily, she has some formidable friends and allies in the supernatural world, and she isn’t without her own defenses, either. A powerful master vampire romances her while the alpha werewolf flirts with her, and an ancient being who used to be worshipped as a god wants her dead, but Kirsten survives, even if she is Only Human.   Release date: February 20, 2015 140,000 words Buy it at: _______________________________________________________   Excerpt to come!

Only Human, The Dragon King, and Wild Wicked Weekend

Only Human releases this Friday (the 20th), and I’m so excited about finally sharing Kirsten’s story.  There is one review out there for it already, where Book Addict says, “Hands down, this is one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read in a long time.” That’s the kind of thing every author wants to hear.  🙂 The Only Human series is not going to have the same kind of intense BDSM as the Safeword series. In a nutshell, it’s more story and less sex. This doesn’t mean no sex, just not as much. Next up after Only Human will be the first book in my new paranormal romance series, titled The Dragon King. This series will be more about kink than BDSM, and the sex between the two main characters is mostly vanilla in this first book. With that being said, they spend some time in Faerie, and there is a good deal of sadistic, sexual stuff going on… just not between the main characters. If you want to see the books I’m working on, and how they fit into these new series, take a look at this page:  candaceblevins.com/kirsten-osheas-universe In other news, I’ll be at Wild Wicked Weekend in San Antonia, Texas this week. I’ll have my What’s your Safeword? shirts for sale, and will have the entire Safeword series with me for the book signing Saturday.  I love talking with readers and other authors, and I’m looking forward to the week!

Boxed Set — both Davenport books

If you haven’t read the two Davenport books, they are now available as a boxed set. I told the origin of the story when Safeword: Davenport first came out, but here it is again. My husband needed to have emergency open heart surgery involving a heart valve. He was in surgery for something like eight or ten hours, and if we hadn’t had one of the top thoracic surgeons in the nation there’s a very good chance I wouldn’t have him with me any more. Both his surgeon and his cardiologist were carefully preparing me for the worst, at first. The first few days I sat in the ICU waiting room and typed when I couldn’t be by his side, and then when he went to a room, I sat by his side while he slept, and I typed. My kids stayed at my parents house, and I Skyped them in the morning, and then helped with homework over Skype in the evenings. Otherwise, I was typing. I believe time heals all wounds, so I wrote a story of someone who’d lost her husband a year before, and was just beginning to figure out how to start living again. He’s my soul mate, and working to convince myself I’d survive, eventually, was the only thing that kept me sane. When the doctors finally started talking about him eventually going home again, I set the story aside and didn’t go back to it for over a year. It took a piece of my soul to write these books. My husband is fine now. He needs antibiotics before he goes to the dentist, and he has quite the scar running down his chest, and I can still feel the wires they used to reconnect his sternum, but otherwise, there are no residual […]

Safeword: Arabesque – Available Now!

Cassie’s introduction to kink throws her for a loop until a friend and his slave give her a gentle introduction. Unfortunately, her friend has issues when it comes to kinky activities with women, so Cassie goes looking for someone else to teach her. She knows how to be safe, but a disastrous adventure ends with an ambulance ride to the emergency room, and the three men it hasn’t worked out with all come together to nurse her back to health. Two Doms and two submissives in one house should be a nightmare waiting to happen, though under the right circumstances could be a dream come true. Warning: Contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, male/male sexual practices, bondage, male chastity devices, and the use of toys including clamps, canes, paddles, floggers, plugs, and gags. Readers with a history of rape may find elements of this story disturbing. Safeword: Arabesque is a stand-alone book. You do not need to have read the previous books in the series. Amazon Kobo iTunes Barnes and Noble   152,000 Words 430 Pages

Cover Reveal!! No Safeword: Matte — Happily Ever After

Release is planned for late September or early October, and this one is a super-novel. HEA currently stands at 120,000 words, and the next editing pass generally adds more words. I may have written the first Matte specifically to show you can write a romance without a ton of drama and angst, but the final Ethan and Sam book has enough drama and angst to fill all four books. I *love* this cover, in part because I got to use the same model from Safeword: Matte, and in part because of the irony of showing them at a fight practice when the title is Happily Ever After. Also, we return to the roots of the first book, and there is a lot of fighting in this one — both in the cage with a large audience, and in private.

Safeword: Matte – The Honeymoon Excerpt

Releases this Friday!! Here’s an excerpt, just before “The Big Event”. Sam couldn’t believe how nervous she was as she stepped out of the tub. Once upon a time she’d have kept it to herself, but she knew Ethan would want to know, and she didn’t mind letting him see her weaknesses. “Ethan, I know you’ve prepared me for this, but I’m a little scared.” He pulled her to him and wrapped his arms around her. His deep voice vibrated through his chest and into her cheek as he said, “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t turned on by your fear, but I want you to enjoy this, too.” He leaned back and looked into her face, scrutinizing. “Do you want a glass of wine before we get started?” “Maybe a half glass? I’m not sure a lot of wine would be wise after the enema.” He smiled. “We’ll split a glass between us, then.” He dried her, then himself, and they walked to the kitchen together. He’d put a bottle of wine in the fridge earlier, and he pulled the cork as they talked about the house, the weather, and how beautiful the ocean view was through the window. He walked her outside, and when the salt air and ocean breeze hit bare skin, Sam made a note to request sex outside at some point. Ethan stood behind her and she leaned into him as they passed the wine glass back and forth, both taking sips as they breathed in the clean, refreshing air, and soaked in the sun’s fading rays on their naked bodies. The view was stunning, and as Sam’s eyes adjusted she could see other islands in the distance, and wondered if it’d be possible to kayak out to them. She drained the last […]
