We Love Kink gives Safeword: Quinacridone 5 of 5 Love Pats

M2dee at We love Kink gave Safeword: Quinacridone 5 of 5 Love Pats and said: …The story content is very well researched and developed as to the strong BDSM and Objectification of the characters…The level of [Cara and Travis’s] conviction to each others extreme personal release and mutual torment level, was by far compelling and graphic…This book is one I will reread again in the future. I highly recommend this book to serious readers. Head on over to We love Kink to see what else she said, and to enter to win an ebook copy of either of the Davenport books.

A Five Carrot Review

KY Bunnies gave Safeword: Quinacridone Five carrots and said: Blevins has taken something that most people think is dirty … and created a work of art. With a story line that is too close to real life, characters that move readers and have you cheering for them when accomplishing a goal, a book that is more than just sex. A book that shows even if someone is different they are still human. They have human emotions, fears, and doubts. I gotta say, her words make me want to do a happy dance. I hope I’ve written things so, even if they kinks aren’t your kinks, you’ll understand Cara and Travis’ attraction to them. It truly should be more than just sex — the trust and honesty required on both sides forges a connection mere sex can never create. You can also register to win the winner’s choice of an ebook copy of either of the Daveport books.

A much needed update

March was crazy — some good, some bad, but all of it seemed to conspire to keep me from writing. I’ve spent time in seven states, and I’ve been sick twice — most recently with the version of flu that’s killing people. I’ve been offline this time for over a week, and I’m sure to have missed important emails. I’m wading through it, slowly but surely; however, if I owe you a response and haven’t answered yet, it might be a good idea to resend the email. Safeword: Quinacridone‘s full release is this Friday, for those of you who’ve been waiting for Cara and Travis’ story in other formats. I don’t yet have a release date for the sequel to Safeword: Matte. It’s coming along, but it still has a ways to go. I plotted this one, but it’s kind of gone off the rails. I can’t wait to see how it ends.

After Valentine’s Day Sale

Are you up for a love story with an edge? Do you want some kink with your romance?  Safeword: Quinacridone is on sale at Amazon this weekend for $2.99. This isn’t a short story, at 118,000 words and 305 pages, this one’ll keep you engrossed for a while. What happens when an introverted artist who only likes sex when it’s a one-night stand meets a computer-geek-extraordinaire with his own sexy secrets? Objectification, romance, pain, adoration, lots of kinky toys, and oodles and oodles of wonderfully imaginative sex. Join Cara and Travis on their journey to mesh their distinctive sexual tastes into a loving relationship with blow-your-mind kink.  Ob·jec·ti·fi·ca·tion: Treating a person as an object for use, with no regard for a person’s personality or sentience. Regarding someone as a commodity; considering them merely an instrument towards one’s sexual pleasure. Examples of OBJECTIFICATION: A woman is on her back at the edge of a tall bed with hands and feet bound together and restrained above her head. A curtain drapes from a canopy above and puddles on the backs of her thighs. The man about to penetrate her sees only female genitals available for use. A woman is dressed in a full latex blow-up doll costume with durable latex ‘pockets’ stuffed into her orifices. She is bound into a position giving easy access to all three holes at a party. Her face is completely covered excepting nose and mouth. The men do not know who is in the costume. Safeword: Quinacridone is a stand-alone book. You do not need to have read the previous books in this series. Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM, extreme objectification, bondage, watersports (one scene), chemical play, fisting, temporary body modification with saline injections (one scene), and the use of toys including clamps, […]

Sweet-N-Sassi gives Safeword: Quinacridone 5 Stars

Susan at Sweet-N-Sassi gave Safeword: Quinacridone Five Stars and said: Candace pens “Safeword Quinacridone” in an intense plot with extremely hot sex scenes. Her characters were interesting and I enjoyed the love story within, but WOW this was really steamy! Filled with BDSM that brought the book over the top. A well written and recommended book for all erotica BDSM fans, but not for those with a faint heart.

What’s on the Bookshelf reviews Safeword: Quinacridone

Jen at What’s on the Bookshelf reviewed Safeword: Quinacridone and seemed to enjoy it. Here are a few of the things she said: Candace has a knack of writing topics that I would never expect to like. She pushes the limits and makes you go beyond your comfort zone. At least for me since I’m not in the BDSM lifestyle at all. What I love about her books, and SAFEWORD QUINACRIDONE is no exception, is that her characters become real in no time at all. This is the story of meeting the person you’re supposed to spend your life with. Cara and Travis have unique wants and needs when it comes to sex, and Candace does a wonderful job showing you a different side of passion. I loved the way everything weaves together. The secondary characters add another layer to the story. If this is your type of read, then I recommend you give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

DelightedReader.com reviews Safeword: Quinacridone

Shari at Delighted Reader gave Safeword: Quinacridone a B+ and said: Candace Blevins has knocked my socks off with all her books. When asked to review Safeword: Quinacridone, I jumped at the chance. I never expect a light BDSM book with Candace. She writes honestly, but beautifully even if I can’t always get into some of the tougher scenes in her books. As I read the scenes of Cara being objectified, I was disturbed as well as interested to understand why. Why was I disturbed and why was she craving to be objectified? The objectification is pretty extreme in the story, not a light look into this kink. Darkly hard to read but beautifully written. Touched on some dark elements I am not sure I ever want to experience or possibly read about again. It hit “hard limits” with me and I can read a lot, lol. Above all the author has a wonderful writing style even if I am not comfortable with the subject matter. Would I read another Candace Blevins book? Yes, in a heartbeat. Her voice is rich, intriguing and hypnotic as it draws you into a world you may have never known existed. Check out Shari’s review to read the other nice things she said.

Happy Endings Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the Happy Endings Giveaway Hop! What is it that makes us westerners insist upon happy endings? Don’t get me wrong — I’m all for ’em — but so many Asian cultures produce books with terrible endings; the more heartbreakingly ironic the ending, the better the story. Not only do I want a happy ending, sometimes I’m aggravated when there’s too much manufactured conflict. I was feeling this way when I wrote Safeword: Matte, and as a result we get to see two people coming together and finding their own path without a lot of drama thrown in from all directions. I’ll give away one copy of Safeword: Matte on Sunday, January 27th. There are three ways to enter — do all three and you’ll be entered three times, or do one and you’re entered once: Follow me on Facebook and let me know about it (email, comment, or FB message) Follow me on Twitter and let me know about it (email, comment, or Twitter me) Comment below.
