Kitty Angel at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews gave the new edition of Safeword: Rainbow 4½ stars and rated it a Purest Delight. She had lots of nice things to say, here are a few: The extended version of Rainbow had me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see how they would work out their problems with a TPE and how they would manage if they were to compromise. ….Candace draws you into her story and doesn’t let go. It was very hard to put the book down and walk away to do anything besides read it. Ms. Blevins’ BDSM scenes were so well written that you felt yourself being drawn into the scene. I love the way Candace Blevins writes, incorporates the real world into the BDSM world and brings an HEA even in situations that may seem hopeless. VRainey at Night Owl reviewed Safeword: Rainbow and named it a Top Pick, as well as giving it 4½ Stars! Here are a few of the things she said: The chemistry between Tyler and Vivian is blistering hot. The sex scenes were scorching hot. While I am not a masochist, the extreme sex scenes did not seem over the top or unrealistic. I loved that when it was too much Vivian was willing to say her safe word. This book is well written. The main and secondary characters were realistic. I love this series and can’t wait to read more in this series. Read her review to find out what else she liked — and didn’t like.
Robin at Sizzling Hot Books gave the new edition of Safeword: Rainbow a Five Heart review, and said: Safeword: Rainbow is very well-written; the writing flows naturally and I couldn’t put the book down. The hero and heroine are fascinating characters, multi-dimensional and people I would be interested in meeting. The sex scenes are so full of description that I can close my eyes and easily picture everything. She also warns: Safeword: Rainbow is hardcore BDSM so if you’re looking for some kinky, sensual play and light BDSM then you will most likely not be comfortable reading this book. Anna at Herding Cats and Burning Soup gave Safeword: Quinacridone a 4 of 5, but I think her review might be one of the best I’ve seen. You really need to go read it, but here are a few of the things she had to say: It takes some serious talent to make fisting romantic… Travis and Cara have an incredible relationship that you can feel and see changing over the years they spend together. The book covers I think around 2 years. I loved their relationship and that they support each other at work, at home, respect each other inside and outside of the bedroom and that they come together to face anything that stands in their way. They’re far from perfect but what they have together is amazing. Blevins really didn’t hold back and lets these two be themselves. And they explore it all. Playing with electricity, multiple partners, extreme objectification (he turns her into a blow up sex doll with a latex suit that even has pockets for all of her cavities to be used just like the doll), anal play, fisting (and yes one of my favorite scenes involved fisting and she did make it incredibly romantic–amazingly), use of all sorts of products like blended hot peppers inserted in parts you just don’t want that inserted. My girlie bits cringed multiple times reading this one. There’s whipping and bondage and exploration of amputation fetishes. Yes. Those apparently exist. Nothing was actually amputated but there’s some serious mind fucking going on in regards to it…Nothing was off limits with these two but it was all consensual and definitely what they both wanted… And while Travis is most definitely a sadist I liked that he wasn’t a complete sadistic bastard. Oh, he likes to hurt women and […]
Liberty Ann at Snifferwalk gave Safeword Quinacridone 5 stars and said: Since my kink is bondage and domination, there was sufficient to make me want to squeal with delight. If you like sadism or objectification, you will be doing way more than squealing. Over all, it will take way more than a simple cold shower to release the total Snuggly factor found in this book. I fell in love with both characters, despite the times when I became a bit squeamish. The book was entertaining, educational, full of fantasy and that hard-to-define IT factor in my opinion. I would absolutely read it again and totally look forward to reading the books Ms. Blevin’s has written that I have yet to consume. Safeword: Quinacridone is available at:
M2dee at We love Kink gave Safeword: Quinacridone 5 of 5 Love Pats and said: …The story content is very well researched and developed as to the strong BDSM and Objectification of the characters…The level of [Cara and Travis’s] conviction to each others extreme personal release and mutual torment level, was by far compelling and graphic…This book is one I will reread again in the future. I highly recommend this book to serious readers. Head on over to We love Kink to see what else she said, and to enter to win an ebook copy of either of the Davenport books.
Susan at Sweet-N-Sassi gave Safeword: Quinacridone Five Stars and said: Candace pens “Safeword Quinacridone” in an intense plot with extremely hot sex scenes. Her characters were interesting and I enjoyed the love story within, but WOW this was really steamy! Filled with BDSM that brought the book over the top. A well written and recommended book for all erotica BDSM fans, but not for those with a faint heart.
Jen at What’s on the Bookshelf reviewed Safeword: Quinacridone and seemed to enjoy it. Here are a few of the things she said: Candace has a knack of writing topics that I would never expect to like. She pushes the limits and makes you go beyond your comfort zone. At least for me since I’m not in the BDSM lifestyle at all. What I love about her books, and SAFEWORD QUINACRIDONE is no exception, is that her characters become real in no time at all. This is the story of meeting the person you’re supposed to spend your life with. Cara and Travis have unique wants and needs when it comes to sex, and Candace does a wonderful job showing you a different side of passion. I loved the way everything weaves together. The secondary characters add another layer to the story. If this is your type of read, then I recommend you give it a shot. You won’t be disappointed.
Shari at Delighted Reader gave Safeword: Quinacridone a B+ and said: Candace Blevins has knocked my socks off with all her books. When asked to review Safeword: Quinacridone, I jumped at the chance. I never expect a light BDSM book with Candace. She writes honestly, but beautifully even if I can’t always get into some of the tougher scenes in her books. As I read the scenes of Cara being objectified, I was disturbed as well as interested to understand why. Why was I disturbed and why was she craving to be objectified? The objectification is pretty extreme in the story, not a light look into this kink. Darkly hard to read but beautifully written. Touched on some dark elements I am not sure I ever want to experience or possibly read about again. It hit “hard limits” with me and I can read a lot, lol. Above all the author has a wonderful writing style even if I am not comfortable with the subject matter. Would I read another Candace Blevins book? Yes, in a heartbeat. Her voice is rich, intriguing and hypnotic as it draws you into a world you may have never known existed. Check out Shari’s review to read the other nice things she said.
